Over the next few days all Holy Cross Electric members will receive the ballot request for the board of directors. Please stop and take the time to complete and return your ballot.
When you complete this ballot, I recommend you check the box for Michael Glass for re-election to the Holy Cross board of directors.
Michael and I have known each other for several years. I have known him as a coach for my son, a neighbor, a constituent, a fellow board member and my banker. During this time, I have come to admire his common-sense approach to business, the environment, energy policies and his understanding of our community needs as a whole.
Michael’s experiences on the Alpine Bank’s Green Team, as chairman of the board of WECMRD (Western Eagle County Recreation District) and as board member of Holy Cross Electric, a longtime local and a lifelong Coloradan, make him the best representative for all of us.
I urge my fellow Holy Cross members to re-elect Michael Glass, so that he may continue his involvement in the Colorado Rural Electric Association, WECARE, member equity programs (just to name a few), and continue to improve this vital organization.
On Monday night, the City Council listened to ideas for each old building. However, nothing laid out what the community space would actually entail — only aspirations and gathered community comment.
