Rappaport right choice
So here I sit. I’ve done my homework. I’ve sat back and taken a fresh look at the same old, same old and what’s new. I’ve contemplated, propagated and proliferated. I’ve even reached out to others for thoughtful conversation over a brew or two, which was all in the name of research, by the way.
And here is where I find myself. As time goes, it’s an important time for Basalt. We need to focus on the distant horizon of what our future as a community can be. Together. And for that reason, I proudly want to express my support for Glenn Rappaport as the next mayor of Basalt.
I’ve never been one to tell others how to think and when to act, but if you are a registered voter in Basalt, now would be a really great time to cast a vote for Glenn before you cast away in the Fryingpan. As a rule, but especially in a small-town election, every vote matters. So please make yours count so you can participate actively in the future of your own backyard.
As I found out during my discovery process over the past few weeks, Glenn and I have a lot in common. One strong commonality is the desire to encourage and support entrepreneurialism. In fact, we both have such a passion for this subject and the possibilities it can spawn that we are going to start a roundtable to bring great minds together and see what out-of-the-box ideas we can collectively come up with. We hope you’ll join us. If you have an interest, please reach out to me at email@example.com.
I believe that Basalt needs to organically grow its own economic development programs and establish a business environment that attracts the talented and provides true opportunity through self-sustaining business models. The great thing about such an economic business model is that it is also a green strategy that capitalizes on what already makes Basalt special. It’s not magic, but it can create it. And who really wants Basalt to be a bedroom community in 2020?
Win, lose or draw on April 3, Glenn is on board with me on this one. But it sure would be cool to have the mayor of Basalt sitting there with us. Vote on April 3. Vote for Glenn. The future is now.
