Rappaport best leader for Basalt

Dear Editor:

I was lucky enough to meet Glenn Rappaport when I first moved to Basalt 11 years ago. During that time, I have seen and admired Glenn’s participation in our community. Whether it’s donating his time to design our community amphitheater or spearheading important civic projects like the Basalt Midland Avenue bridge, Glenn has always been there to heed the call of his community.

For a small town to thrive it’s all hands on deck, and that includes our mayor. Basalt’s mayor not only needs to have a vision for the community but an ability to understand others’ views, build consensus and see projects through.

Glenn’s willingness to participate in our community not only as an elected official but as active participant shows he has the vision and skills necessary to be a successful mayor.

This is why I urge everyone to cast your vote for Glenn on Tuesday, and not only will we have a mayor for trustee meetings, but a mayor for Basalt.
