Dear Editor:The snow has settled at Sunlight as the 20th Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race is wrapped up for the season. Thank you to all the wonderful people who came from all over Colorado to help us raise $3,000 to support our local animal rescue groups. Many thanks to Sunlight Mountain Resort and Summit Canyon Mountaineering for their many years of support. Friends of Colorado Avalanche Information Center has contributed to the state’s avalanche center for several years to help with forecasting for backcountry visitors. It cannot hold in-person fundraisers this year so its asking supporters to sign up for an annual membership.
