Put accurate headline on dribble

Dear Editor:Your headline “Millions pay for Clinton’s error” on top of an editorial published Monday, Nov. 22, in The Aspen Times by Jay Bookman of the Atlanta Journal Constitution seems odd, unless of course this is part of magnanimous and subliminal campaign put forth by the powers that be to continue distorting and shaping popular opinion of the masses. In this disjointed editorial, the driving points of the article are: A) Once again the Republicans are right; B) Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky was the reason that Al Gore lost the presidential bid; and, C) Al Gore would have handled Iraq and Afghanistan much better than it has been. Editor, I realize that the Times is published by conglomerate giant Colorado Mountain News Media and that you are handed editorials that you must publish as directed from those above you. With this in mind, I would appreciate that if you are going to publish dribble like this in the future, that your headlines will more appropriately match the content of the article to which they relate.Mark KwiecienskiBasalt(Editor’s Note: All columns and editorials appearing in The Aspen Times are selected by Aspen Times editors.)
