Public invited to affordable housing open house in Basalt

An informational session will be held Monday in Basalt on Eagle County ballot issue 1A, at 5 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Institute Innovation Center, 22830 Two Rivers Rd.

The ballot issue, if passed, would raise money to fund affordable housing projects in Eagle County, including in the Roaring Fork portion of the county, according to the initiative’s backers.

What’s proposed is a 0.03 percent sales tax, or three cents on every $10 spent, excluding grocery sales.

Pizza will be served at the meeting and no RSVP is required.
