PSA, testosterone and cholesterol screenings offered Saturday

Staff report

Movember is an annual monthlong awareness campaign for men’s health issues such as prostate and testicular cancer during which men grow their mustaches throughout November to draw attention to themselves and the cause.

Dr. Gail King and her staff at Regen Aspen and the nonprofit organization Health Aspen have been committed to raising Movember awareness through their ongoing fundraising efforts throughout November as well as offering screenings for prostate-specific antigens, or PSAs; testosterone; and cholesterol at little or no cost, unlike most other communities.

PSA Testing Day happens today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Community Banks of Colorado branch at 210 N. Mill St. in Aspen.
