Dear Editor:I thank Pastor Steve Woodrow of First Baptist Church of Aspen for his provocative educational summer 2004 sermon series about “God’s Purpose for Love and Sex in the Context of Marriage” vis-à-vis the “Song of Solomon.”As a scholar who studies families, households, marriage and mating practices, traditions, mores, etc., I found Pastor Woodrow’s preaching helpful as I live my personal life and interact with society. On Oct. 3, Rev. Woodrow starts a new sermon series: “Recapturing History, the Da Vinci Code and the Gnostic Gospels: Faith, Fact, or Fiction?”Rev. Woodrow sure likes to step into hot water and come out as cool as a cucumber in religious and intellectual circles.Emzy Veazy III, Esq.Aspen and Beverly Hills
