Props for prom

Dear Editor: On Saturday, April 28, the junior class put on a spectacular prom for the 2007 Aspen High School seniors. The wonderful night was held atop Aspen Mountain at the beautiful Sundeck for the “Dancing in the Moonlight,” themed event. This memorable night would not have been possible if it weren’t for the help of some incredible people.First and foremost, the 2007 Prom Committee would like to thank Nancy Fehrmann and Sarah Benson for everything that they have done, as well as Calan Gibney and Tameria Wilson, our class sponsors. Without them, the prom would not have been even possible. We would also like to extend a special thanks to WHB Construction and Bill Baker for making the gondola transportation to the beautiful prom possible. We would also like to thank the many others who helped make it possible … Caroline Barabe and Chris Kiley of Aspen Skiing Company, as well as Peter King (the Aspen Mountain manger), Aspen Party Rentals and Gerald Schuster Photography, Charlie Anastas (AHS principal), and Brad Bates (AHS assistant principal), and all of the other AHS staff chaperones. And a special thanks to Joshua and Nina Saslove for their generous donation of all the water for the event. Without all of you, the junior class would never have been able to pull off such an extravagant prom for the 2007 seniors, and we really appreciate everything you all did for us.Junior class president Haley Kaufmanand the 2007 Junior Class Prom CommitteeAspen High School
