Pro Challenge poster contest kicks off Monday

ASPEN – A design contest for the commemorative Aspen poster for the USA Pro Challenge kicks off Monday.

Artists of all kinds are encouraged to submit their entries, which will be accepted until May 5. The winner, which will be chosen from a pool of finalists by a panel of Aspen residents, will be announced May 20.

The design will be printed as Aspen’s official USA Pro Challenge poster, which will be available for purchase this summer.

“Artists are encouraged to highlight Aspen’s dramatic natural beauty, incomparable cycling terrain and unique outdoor-adventure culture that together defy ordinary,” according to a news release Friday.

The winner will receive a pair of VIP passes to the hospitality tent at the race finish.

All entries must be submitted via email to mitzi.rapkin@cityofaspen.com. This requires that the artwork either be in digital-media format or a digital photograph of the artwork in 11-by-17 or 18-by-14 size format. There is no fee to enter, and no purchase is required.
