Privileged parking
Dear Editor:I think this time Mayor Klanderud is wrong. Public parking space should be available to everyone equally, at a reasonable cost, and not sold to a private company. If this private company wants to sell valet parking, let them do it from their own property, as The Little Nell hotel does, but not from public streets, paid for by Aspen taxpayers.Aspen needs more customers in the downtown core. It’s insulting and bad marketing that a person would have to pay $15 for the privilege of spending money in Aspen stores.P.S. I’ve been an Aspen resident about seven times longer than “New Councilman” Johnson.Bill GreenwoodAspen
