Praising Basalt’s finest
September 4, 2009
To think that our police were looking for a fight at 2 a.m. is ridiculous. I’ve been a resident in Basalt for eight years, and we should all thank our police department for making it one of the safest communities in Colorado. All of our police are members of the community and take their time to walk around town and talk to people.
Most of them have been in the valley longer than me and are truly concerned about Basalt. They did not deserve the verbal abuse they got that night, and I thank for them for taking action. Show some respect to fellow citizens trying to make sure Basalt is safe. Community policing is a privilege we should not take for granted.
