Powderhorn won’t open until Saturday

MESA, Colo. ” Powderhorn Ski Resort is pushing back opening day from Thursday to Saturday.

Recent storms brought two feet of fresh snow to the summit, but Powderhorn Marketing Director Sarah Allen said the resort needs to wait until the next storm arrives before it can open.

The National Weather Service said there is a chance for snow Wednesday and Thursday.

Powderhorn is located on the Grand Mesa in western Colorado, outside of Grand Junction.
