Pow Party fundraiser set in Aspen

ASPEN – The local nonprofit Powder to the People will celebrate the ski season with its annual Pow Party “FUNdraiser” on Dec. 8 at the Eagles Club in Aspen.

The event, from 4 to 7 p.m., will feature a chili bar, drinks, live music and a silent auction. The recommended minimum donation is $15, including a complimentary beer, wine or soda, followed by a cash bar.

The party doubles as an opportunity to stock up on new gear and other items, as well as services, provided by local businesses and artists. The party helps fund Powder to the People’s backcountry speaker series, the free beacon park at Aspen Highlands and continuing educational and collaborative efforts toward equal access to public lands, backcountry safety and etiquette.
