Postal workers pulled together

Dear Editor:I am writing to praise the staff at the Aspen Post Office. On Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, we had four uncovered routes. The Aspen Post Office has a total of 12 city routes, so this constitutes approximately 30 percent of the city delivery for which there were no assigned carriers. The staff pulled together and ensured the residents and visitors to Aspen received their mail that day. The letter carriers who reported to work did their own route and half of another route – and there were those who did more than that! The clerks assisted with Express Mail delivery and ensured any missorted mail went to the proper route prior to the carriers leaving the office for street delivery.I am very proud to be working with this entire group, who truly pull together when needed. Bottom line: We deliver for you!Katherine M. MurphySupervisor, Customer ServicesAspen Post Office
