Dear Editor:Basalt High School would like to thank the following organizations and individuals for the outstanding “sports career panel” presented to our students on Jan. 26: Comcast; ESPN and the X Games organizers; Sal Masakela, X Games host; James G. Brown Jr. and Steve Raymond, both senior vice presidents of ESPN media; Dr. David Chao, team doctor for the San Diego Chargers; John Rigney, managing director of event marketing for the Aspen Skiing Co.; and X Games athlete Peter Olenick.We appreciate the time you devoted and the positive message you gave our students about career opportunities available in the sports field and the importance of education inreaching career goals.James WaddickPrincipal, Basalt High School
