Positions filled on panel to seek new Basalt police chief
BASALT – All seven positions have been filled in Basalt on a Community Advisory Panel that will help in the search for a new police chief, the town government announced Tuesday.
Those appointed were Kelley Burk, Matthew Hamilton, Leroy Duroux, Bernie Grauer, Tim Belinski, Bennett Bramson and Suzanne Wheeler-del Piccolo.
The panel will meet on the third Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Basalt Regional Library to discuss what type of police chief they would like to see the town hire. The public is welcome to attend the meeting. The panel also will participate in interviews of police-chief candidates.
