Poll: What are your favorite Winter X Games events?

With the Winter X Games coming to town this week, this week’s poll question asks readers which events they’re most looking forward to this week.

Go to http://www.aspentimes.com, on the left side below the news carousel, to find this week’s question and the results of previous polls.

Last week’s poll question — “Do you think the increased popularity of backcountry travel is good or bad?” — attracted 844 votes. An overwhelming majority of voters think increased popularity is bad, with 685 votes, or 81.16 percent, saying it attracts too many skiers and snowboarders who aren’t properly educated or experienced into dangerous terrain. Just 107 votes, or 12.68 percent, were “good” votes, citing the popularity as a good awareness tool for the general public. The remaining 52 votes, or 6.16 percent, were “not sure.”
