Police release photo of suspect in Aspen sexual assault

ASPEN ” Authorities have released a photo of Emanuel Gonzalez-Loujun, 21, who stands accused of multiple felonies in connection with the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman at the Centennial apartment complex in Aspen on Jan. 17.

He faces up to life in state prison if convicted of all counts. Gonzalez-Loujun, a Carbondale resident, is to appear Feb. 2 in Pitkin County District Court.

Police arrested Gonzalez-Loujun at 2:30 a.m. Jan. 17, shortly after they received a 911 call from a witness about an alleged sexual assault. He was being held on $250,000 bond at the Pitkin County jail.

Vail Resorts has received notice of violation and a cease and desist order in the wake of a spill, which qualifies as a “discharge of pollutants,” last year from part of the Vail Mountain snowmaking system that ultimately resulted in a fish kill in Gore Creek.
