Please come welcome Colorado’s poet laureate
Dear Editor:
On Sunday, Oct. 30, Live Poetry Night at the Hotel Lenado will be marking its fifth anniversary, coupled with an annual Halloween celebration. There will be live music provided by Tom Edman, open mic for poets, refreshments and seasonal fun.
Most importantly, our featured guest is David Mason, Colorado’s poet laureate. David has vowed to visit all counties in Colorado during his tenure and the Aspen Poets’ Society is honored that Live Poetry Night will be his stage in Pitkin County. We invite the Roaring Fork Valley community to join in the festivities from 6:30-9 p.m. and to enjoy a very special evening of the spoken word. Let’s give David Mason a warm and enthusiastic welcome to Aspen.
(Live Poetry Night is always open, free of charge, to all listeners and poets.)
