Pitkin County to test alert system in Basalt area Thursday

Pitkin County will be testing its alerting system in the mid-valley area around Basalt at approximately 9 a.m. Thursday, June 11.

“The message will read: Pitkin County is testing our IPAWs alerting system. This is a test only,” a press release reads.

In the case of a real emergency, instructions would follow and all updates could be found at pitkinemergency.com.
