Pitkin County signs are out of line
County signs are out of line
Kudos to Mike Maple (“Dump the landfill billboard,” letters, July 31, The Aspen Times) for pointing out that the Ptikin County proposed landfill sign is unnecessary, inappropriate, and illegal (of course Pitkin County, unlike the rest of us, can choose to ignore the regulations regarding sign size).
It belongs in the dump.
Speaking of inappropriate, how about replacing the enormous ads in our airport with photos of the history of Aspen? I bet Bugsy Barnard would be all for it.
