Pitkin County Republicans to host events, candidates Saturday

The Pitkin County Republicans are hosting U.S. Senate candidate Darryl Glenn, who’s running against the incumbent Democrat Michael Bennet, at their booth in the Saturday market, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Passersby can stop by the booth to meet Glenn and ask questions.

Saturday evening, the Republicans are holding their annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the Hotel Jerome, where Glenn, Congressman Scott Tipton and former Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will be special guests. Tickets

Steve’s Guitars will present its 1,000th consecutive live music Friday at 7:30 p.m. on Grassroots TV, featuring a special lineup of performers for the show, including luthier Wally Bacon, who owned the “shop” as Wally’s Music before Standiford bought it from him in 1993.
