Pitkin County open space calendar available
December 14, 2009
PITKIN COUNTY – Pitkin County Open Space and Trails successes are featured in a free, 2010 calendar that’s now available at various locations.
The calendar features a map of the properties and photographs that capture the splendor of some of the county’s 3,142 acres of open space and 14,556 acres of conserved lands.
The county’s Open Space and Trails program was established by voters in 1990; it is funded by a property tax. In November 2006, the program was re-authorized by voters and the Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Trails System was added to it.
Calendars are available in the county administration building, 530 E. Main St. (in the entryway and in the clerk’s office); the county library main entrance; on the first floor at the county courthouse; at the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport; Aspen City Hall (third floor, Community Development); the Aspen and Snowmass Village nordic centers; the Redstone General Store and Meredith General Store.
