Pitkin County delays cabin discussion

Aspen Times Staff Report
Aspen, CO Colorado

ASPEN ” Too short on commissioners to legally hold a meeting, the Pitkin County commissioners did not hold a discussion Tuesday about a proposal to historically designate two log cabins in the West Sopris Creek area.

The discussion, which concerns two cabins on property known as the Middle Fender Ranch, is linked to an effort by the landowners to have a 20-year window to build a 15,000-square-foot home, instead of the normal three-year “vested rights” period.

The commissioners will take the matter up at a work session Nov. 19.
