Pitco biannual report published
The highlights of the Pitkin County community survey conducted in April are featured in the county’s biannual report published this week in The Aspen Times. It includes a demographic snapshot of Pitkin County residents and second-home owners, highlights some of the issues and values they share, and looks at how the community rates the service their county government provides. The supplement also includes an update on the many changes under way at the Aspen Airport.”Pitkin County’s newspaper supplement offers citizens only a snapshot of our community survey results, so we invite anyone interested to take a look at the results of the survey in their entirety, either on our Web site, http://www.aspenpitkin.com, or at the Pitkin County Library,” Nan Sundeen, the county community relations director, said.County officials will continue to review the survey results in ongoing discussions aimed at shaping policy and spending priorities. “This is the first communitywide survey we’ve done in about seven years, and we are committed to doing them more frequently so we can track progress and changes in values, trends and opinions. We are working to increase our opportunities to engage and include the citizens and neighborhoods in what we do, and this survey is one of our tools to get feedback,” Sundeen said.Extra copies of the county report are available on request by calling Pat Bingham at 920-5204.
