Pilots’ party coming up

Dear Editor:

The Aspen Chapter of the 99’s will be hosting our annual Pilots’ Holiday Party on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Mountain Chalet in Aspen, from 5:30-9 p.m., and all aviation enthusiasts are invited to attend. The event is free and open to the public, with a cash bar and “potluck” food.

The entire community is mourning the recent passing of local icon Betty Pfister, “Aspen’s First Lady of Aviation.” Betty founded our local 99’s chapter 30 years ago, and we are dedicating this year’s party to her memory, honoring her with photos, videos and any other memorabilia that people would like to share. There will be a projection system available for CDs and DVDs, so please bring what you have.

We are also updating our e-mail list, and due to an unfortunate computer glitch, we’ve lost all the email addresses that were given us in the past two years. If you would like to be on our list, and if you already were but did not receive an email from Cindy Maetzold recently, please call Cindy at 927-9690 or Polly Ross at 925-5510 with your information.

Thank you, and we hope to see you on the 7th!

Polly Ross
