Pilots bash on Wednesday

Dear Editor:

All pilots (student, private, commercial and military) and all aviation enthusiasts are cordially invited to the annual Pilots’ Holiday Party on Wednesday. It will be held from 5-9 p.m. at the Hotel Lenado, 200 S. Aspen St. There will be a cash bar and potluck appetizers and desserts, and we always have a wonderful variety of food. Come talk flying with old friends and make new ones!

The Aspen chapter of the 99’s has been hosting this party since the early 1980s, when Aspen icon, pilot and WWII WASP Betty Pfister first started our local chapter. It is always free and open to the public.

This letter is especially for people who are not on our e-mail list, do not have a locally based airplane and thus have not received our mailing, have not seen our posters around town, or miss our press releases in the paper. We are trying to reach all of you, as it is a gathering not to be missed!

If you have questions and/or would like to be on our e-mail list, please call Polly at 925-5510. I hope to see you all on Wednesday!

Polly Ross
