PHOTOS: Sardy House tree lighting brings holiday cheer to Aspen
The 40th annual Sardy House tree lighting ceremony took place Saturday evening on Main Street in Aspen. Holiday music courtesy of the Bell Tones and Aspen Noise livened up the evening, which included the arrival by carriage of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Cookies and hot chocolate was served.
Originally built in 1890, the Sardy House is one of the most iconic Victorian-era homes in Aspen. It’s located on the corner of Aspen and Main streets, across from Paepcke Park. When lit, the tree out front is impossible to miss and it came to life on Saturday night.
