Illusionist Leon Etienne, who has been featured by Penn and Teller as well as Jimmy Fallon, brought his show to Aspen’s Wheeler Opera House on Wednesday.
Coming from New York, he mixes new and old magic tricks into a performance that includes a heavy dose of rock music and a lot of leather outfits.
His show also coincided with the Wheeler’s birthday, as the beloved opera house officially opened its doors on April 23, 1889, with the Conreid Opera Company’s performance of “The King’s Fool” and a swordplay exhibition by a group of female fencers.
