Fans filled the World Cup Finals finish area in the morning and then headed over to Wagner Park for the World Cup Village on Wednesday as the Finals kicked off.
The downhill racing didn’t disappoint as Italy’s Peter Fill capped solid performance on America’s Downhill by taking second and jumping into the season lead for downhill to win the Crystal Globe.
Lindsey Vonn has been fighting a cold all week and finished second to overall champion Ilka Stuhec, who is having a breakout season.
All the while, fans from across the globe descended on Aspen to have a good time.
Racing returns Thursday when the women’s and men’s super-G races, which start at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively.
