PHOTOS: Fans come out strong for final day
Officials estimated that 30,000 fans came out to watch the World Cup Finals this week at Aspen Mountain.
Sun-drenched spectators on Sunday watched as Vail’s Mikaela Shiffrin was handed her first overall championship globe. The 22-year-old skier also won the crystal globe for the slalom on Saturday.
All week fans filled the grandstand at the finish area near Lift 1A and lined the courses up the mountain.
