PHOTOS: DanceAspen’s ‘Ember Glow’ brings the energy to Wheeler

DanceAspen performers returned to the Wheeler Opera House stage on Saturday and Sunday with their two-night showcase of “Ember Glow.” Unique among the five acts was a piece specially commissioned by the Wheeler, called “Bud-Burn-Bloom” and choreographed by DanceAspen’s own Matthew Gilmore.

Dancers for “Ember Glow” included Gilmore, Jonah Delgado, Sammy Altenau, Meredith Harrill, Nicole Bui, Michaella Ho, and Paulio Sovari. DanceAspen is led by Executive Director Laurel Winton, who spoke to the audience prior to the start of Sunday’s show.
