PHOTOS: Aspen Hall of Fame adds four new members at Jerome

The Aspen Hall of Fame held its annual dinner and induction ceremony on Sunday night inside the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, where it welcomed four new members to the prestigious club.

Hall of fame co-presidents Pat Bingham and Walker Moriarty led the ceremony. Being inducted were Erin Fernandez-Ely, Paul Andersen, and Bob and Ruth Wade.

Fernandez-Ely served as the Pitkin County Court Judge from 2000-2021, where she presided over 30,000 cases and 60 jury trials.

Andersen was a longtime Aspen Times reporter turned columnist who has written about the Roaring Fork Valley for more than 40 years. He’s also an accomplished author.

The husband-and-wife duo that is the Wades opened the Ute Mountaineer in 1977. They are also behind the creation of many popular local events, notably America’s Uphill, the Golden Leaf half-marathon, the Ute Nordic Series, Owl Creek Chase, and Ski for the Pass.
