Photography contest to send winners to Aspen Ideas Fest

Staff report

The iPhone Photography Awards is partnering with The Aspen Institute for an iPhone competition that will send the winners to the Ideas Festival this summer.

“The America I Know” competition is a new category in the iPhone Photography Awards. The competition is seeking entrants to provide photos of American life as they see it.

“Whether you’ve lived in America your whole life or you’ve only seen it in the movies, your unique perspective is requested,” reads promotional material. “Are we healing or hurting, rising or falling, together or divided? What is the America you know, right now?”

The competition is open to participants worldwide.

Two selected winners will receive a trip to the 13th annual Aspen Ideas Festival at the Aspen Institute’s campus from June 22 to July 1. Three nights of lodging in Aspen and a festival pass will be included. The 2017 winning entries for all categories will be exhibited during the festival.
