A flock of flamingoes surrounds The LIttle Nell on a snowy afternoon. The plastic birds have turned up across Aspen in advance of Friday's Aspen Education Foundation Flamingo A-Go-Go fundraiser. Organizers are hoping to net $300,000 from the event, which will go toward the Aspen School District's bottom line. "Our schools greatly benefit from the support of this community," said AEF director Melissa Long "We are able to provide programs and positions at the school on which we have come to rely and expect, such as the college counseling departmnet, robotics teams, interventionists, the music program and much more."
