Kids from Basalt Elementary clean up after a hard day of foot-painting. Basalt officials are enlisting hundreds of people to participate in the Barefoot in Basalt effort at a Guiness world record for largest painting made from footprints and paw prints. The painting will feature 1,000 muslin panels with predetermined shapes and colors. They will be fitted together May 30 at the rugby field at Willits. It is expected to cover 43,740 square feet.
