Aspen Community Foundation recently received a $3,000 grant from Colorado Springs-based El Pomar Foundation for its Cradle to Career Initiative. El Pomar's High Country Regional Council, an advisory board of community leaders representing the five-county area of Clear Creek, Eagle, Lake, Pitkin and Summit counties, recommended the grant. Started in 2012, The Cradle to Career Initiative's mission is to see that every child from Aspen to Parachute is ready for kindergarten and graduates from high school ready for college or career.
