Philip Edward Potvin (aka Pancho) passed away on Oct. 14, 2012 in Carbondale.
He was born on April 10, 1934 in Springfield, Mass. to Ernest and Rosalie Potvin. Some of his fondest memories were skiing on all the local mountains, hiking to Crested Butte and fishing the local rivers.
He is survived by his brother, Robert; children Laura, Monique, Christian and Todd; and grandchildren Rosalie, Lorraine, Bode and Samuel.
A Mass will be held in his memory at St. Mary Catholic Church in Aspen on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at 11 a.m.
A celebration of life will follow.

World Cup downhill racing returning to Aspen Mountain in March 2023
U.S. Ski & Snowboard on Tuesday made the official announcement that World Cup Alpine skiing is returning to Aspen Mountain in March with men’s super-G and downhill racing, part of a revamped schedule by the International Ski Federation for the 2022-23 season.
