Peterson-McDonald wedding

Mike Peterson and Molly McDonald were married on Saturday, June 2, at the Roaring Fork Club in Basalt.

Parents of the couple are Sue McDonald of Hayward, Wisc., Bob McDonald, Barb Peterson, and Tom and Mary Kay Peterson, all of Rockton, Ill. The bride’s attendants were Monica Rumage, Mandi McDonald, Cody McDonald and Christie Moors. The groom was attended by Joe Taddeucci, Chris Blough, Ryan Speers and ring bearer Nathan Kaiser. A beautiful ceremony was given by Rev. Rex Van Minnen enhanced with a speech by Mike’s sister Valerie Peterson.

The groom is employed as an executive sous chef for the Roaring Fork Club and the bride owns her own photography business as well as managing the office of Alice Koelle Photography, Inc. in Aspen (their wedding photographer, of course!). They took a brief honeymoon in Las Vegas immediately after the wedding with a longer honeymoon to Jamaica planned in the fall. The couple was extremely blessed to have many of their friends and families travel near and far to attend their Rocky Mountain wedding, and want to thank everyone for being a part of a day they’ll never forget!

They also want to thank their wonderful, local vendors for doing such an amazing job: Alice, Hal and MarySue (Alice Koelle Photography), Sandy and Nan (Classic Cakes of Aspen), Eileen and Jane (Harrington Smith), Erin and Amy (Express Yourself of Basalt), the staff at the Roaring Fork Club, Marcy (Creative Weddings), DJ Dylan, Jerry and Lorraine (ceremony), Rex Van Minnen and CLS transportation.
