People line up to see Obama in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Colo. ” People are lining up to see Barack Obama speak at a high school in Westminster.

Free tickets to Monday’s event were claimed within hours of becoming available on Sunday. His campaign didn’t say how many were distributed.

Doors to the speech open at 9:30 a.m. Gov. Bill Ritter is scheduled to introduce Obama an hour later.

Obama’s wife, Michelle, is scheduled to appear at a voter registration rally Wednesday in the Boulder area.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is also scheduled to be in Colorado this week. She’ll attend a private fundraiser Saturday in Centennial.
