Penny wise, dollar stupid

Dear Editor:I agree with Mike Maple’s letter (Aspen Times, Oct. 20) about the eyesore parking lot at the muni golf course. If we had forward-thinking council members and planners, they would have looked closer at what Aspen Meadows placed under their tennis courts (a parking lot). Also, look at how successful the Maroon Creek Club made their entrance and exit (no traffic light). The city thought more about the trophy clubhouse and tennis courts. Parking was an afterthought. That is why the spaces are so tight. Our representatives and their employees are penny-wise and dollar stupid. Think forward.Frank SpoffordAspen
