Peaks Foundation event is Saturday in Aspen

Aspen Times staff report
Aspen, CO, Colorado

ASPEN – Members of the Peaks Foundation have scheduled a casual meet-and-greet to take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Brunelleschi’s Dome Pizza in Aspen.

Women from around the world, including Snowmass resident Rachel Goodman and Aspen’s Holly Upper, will be there to share their experience in completing the Peak Foundation’s signature hiking and philanthropic 3 Peaks 3 Weeks Challenge in Africa.

The women will share photos and stories and inform people how to get involved with the Peaks Foundation, which is offering 10 trekking adventures in Africa, Asia and South America. The adventures all support local organizations. Wine and drink specials will be available.

Peaks Foundation offers 1 Peak 1 Week adventures in Africa trekking up Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro or far from the trodden tourist circuit to Morocco; in Ladakh on the slopes of the Gulap Kangri; in Nepal to support Classrooms in the Clouds; or in Tajikistan climbing Peak Energia. If someone has more time, there is a 3 Peaks 3 Weeks Challenge in Africa, the Himalayas or South America.

Saturday’s gathering is sponsored by Brunelleschi’s and Aspen Magazine.
