Paws for safety

Dear Editor:I was driving to work today and saw something disturbing. A red GMC Sierra truck with a yellow Lab in the back on a toolbox with a chain around his neck. I don’t know what the owner was thinking (or not). That chain is not going to do anything but break the dog’s neck if the truck has to swerve or stop fast. The dog may like it outside, but it is the owner’s job to keep him safe. Please think the next time you go for a ride. Kim Turner Carbondale
