Patrick Richards died at his home in Basalt on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005. He was 56 years old.

Patrick was a longtime resident of Aspen and the former owner of the Village Pantry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

His passions included fly fishing, skiing and spending time in the mountains and Mexico. He was a beloved brother and friend and will be greatly missed.

Patrick is survived by his sister Stephanie Tyler of Sandy, Ore., and brothers John Richards of Pendleton, Ore., and Mike Richards of Vancouver, Wash. A memorial service will be held today at 1 p.m. at El JeBowl in El Jebel.
