Pass the TUMS
Lately, there’s been a concerted effort on the part of Aspen business owners to stimulate sales in our less-than-rosy economic times. I’d like to commend our mayor, Helen Klanderud, for showing that her stomach, as well as her heart, is behind the effort. On Saturday, Oct. 11, our mayor volunteered to judge a chili cook-off coordinated by Rocky Mountain Connections and the St Regis Hotel. Robert W. Baird & Company’s 266 guests and clients sauteed, stirred and spiced concoctions that Klanderud bravely tasted and rated. The evening was a huge success, and the mayor’s attendance sent a clear message to our client that Aspen is open and willing to do business.John O’DonovanRocky Mountain Connections
