Party for Colorado Avalanche Information Center Thursday in Carbondale

A benefit dinner for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center at Carbondale’s Phat Thai restaurant Thursday night is sold out, but tickets are available for a party starting at 9 p.m.
“A $10 donation gets you in for live music, backcountry bro time and a chance to win some great prizes,” the center’s website says.
In addition to the music, the after-dinner party will feature an auction, giveaways and free beer provided by New Belgium. There will be short film clips shown from movies that appeared in the 5 Point Film Festival.
Tickets can be purchased at Carbondale’s Cripple Creek Backcountry, a sponsor of the event. Donations from the event go directly to the local forecasting office to help support its daily operations.
