Parking conundrum

Dear Editor:

Do I understand the new Aspen parking policy correctly?

If someone comes into town in the morning and runs some errands, and then does the same in the afternoon, will they be at risk of getting a parking ticket? In other words, how does the city propose to distinguish multiple trips from someone who has just moved their car to circumvent the two-hour parking limit?

In fact, of the 300 to 600 people they think are currently circumventing the parking limit, how do they know they haven’t just made multiple trips?
