Paper bags all the way

Dear Editor:

Some time ago I sent a letter to our local papers telling about when Sentry Foods in Wisconsin stopped giving out plastic bags and converted to paper bags with handles instead.

Why not here in our valley? Charging consumers for each plastic bag they use to carry home their groceries is ridiculous! There is a very simple solution when you are asked paper or plastic. Answer with paper!

If the public would ask for paper, think how fast the grocery stores would be stuck with thousands of plastic bags that they can’t give away and maybe they would do something about it!
