Our water is toxic

Dear Editor:

Dr. William D. Glenn (Snowmass) continues to base his claims for fluoride in the drinking water, on studies from 1945 (“The case for fluoride,” letters, July 6, 2011, The Aspen Times). That’s all well and good, and he can dose his grandkids with fluoride if he wants. My contention is that anyone can get fluoride a myriad of other ways if they so choose. I do not.

My research has me hating fluoride. It is not, however, the government’s place to mass medicate the whole population by putting an intensively toxic poison in my drinking water.

Aspen City Council and friends, wake up, please!
